About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician will function under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, providing assistance in daily pharmacy operations. This role is essential for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents within the facility.
Requirements
- Inpatient hospital experience required (1-2 years preferred).
- Current Arizona pharmacy technician license is required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPht) credential is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
- Prior experience with Omnicell systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport pharmaceuticals to designated areas within the facility.
- Prepare unit dose exchange systems for medication distribution.
- Manage inventory, including stocking and ordering supplies.
- Assist in the preparation of IV admixtures.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
