Pharmacy Technician Specialist – Infusion Services - Float
About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician Specialist – Infusion Services – Float prepares and distributes pharmaceuticals, performs inventory control and compliance activities, provides customer service, and maintains pharmacy records. The role requires flexibility and a positive attitude when adapting to changing operational needs and completing work within the scope of the position. The technician should be a strong team player, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize work and manage time in a busy environment. The position serves Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin, and Johnson Creek Cancer Center. The schedule includes day and evening shifts, with varying hours between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Rotating Saturday work may be required from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours may vary according to departmental operational needs. Additional compensation may include evening, weekend, and float differentials.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration upon hire.
- Be a strong team player, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to prioritize work and manage time.
- Six months of experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of the second year of pharmacy school.
Nice To Haves
- Sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience is ideal.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
