Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion and maintenance of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician required
- Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
- Basic familiarity with computers and keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Current applicable state Pharmacy Technician Licensure required prior to date of hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of a pharmacy technician program preferred.
- retail and/or inpatient hospital experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Gathering the best possible medication history that is then utilized by the care team for medication reconciliation
- Assists with the provision of medications at the time of discharge from the hospital
