About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician Level 1 practices the profession of pharmacy in an environment whose philosophy and policies promote patient care. The role requires a friendly approach and remarkable customer service to support overall patient health. The position involves assisting with prescription processing, medication inventory and ordering, insurance claims, pharmacy paperwork, and customer-facing pharmacy initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality and a clean, professional pharmacy.

Responsibilities
- Retrieve appropriate medications from inventory.
- Enter customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system.
- Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
- Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
- Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
- Stock prescription medication.
- Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
- Prioritize workload.
- Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
- Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
