About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Level 1 practices the profession of pharmacy in an environment whose philosophy and policies promote patient care. The role requires a friendly approach and remarkable customer service to enhance overall patient health. The position supports prescription fulfillment and pharmacy operations, including retrieving and stocking medications, entering customer and prescription information, creating labels, processing insurance claims, completing related paperwork, and ordering prescription medications. It also promotes pharmacy initiatives and clinical services, prioritizes work, communicates effectively, supports change, maintains an orderly pharmacy, and protects patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system.
Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
Stock prescription medication.
Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
Prioritize workload.
Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
Maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
