About The Position
Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a full-time, day-shift Non-Certified Pharmacy Tech. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the technician performs accountabilities associated with compounding, preparing, distributing, and charging medications. The role assists with filling and delivering medication orders, maintaining automated dispensing cabinet stock, and other assigned duties. Work is full-time days, with possible start times of 4:30 a.m., 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., or 7:00 a.m. Weekend rotation is required, typically every four weeks. Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is required within 18 months of hire.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of applicable experience.
- Missouri Pharmacy Technician registration with the Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required within 18 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Pick, fill, and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to appropriate locations.
- Prepack drugs and compound medications, including sterile products, chemotherapy, and special dosage forms such as topicals and oral liquids.
- Assist with maintaining stock supplies in the pharmacy department as needed.
- Answer the phone and front window, and assist with questions and requests.
- Attend all department and technician meetings.
- Perform medication compounding, preparation, distribution, and charging duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
