About The Position

The Pharmacy Tech (Non Certified) provides efficient and courteous service to pharmacy customers. The role supports prescription processing, customer questions, insurance claims, stocking, and general pharmacy department operations. It also involves assisting customers with over-the-counter products, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean work area. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide and promote efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Answer telephone calls and handle questions that do not require a pharmacist’s expertise or judgment.
• Receive written prescriptions and telephone refill requests.
• Gather and record information needed to prepare and dispense prescriptions.
• Store written prescription forms after prescriptions are dispensed.
• Enter data into the computer.
• Stock over-the-counter products and pharmacy department supplies.
• Place completed prescriptions in the pickup area.
• Assist in preparing insurance claims and verify payments.
• Help customers find over-the-counter products.
• Maintain a clean department and work area.
• Operate a cash register.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
