Pharmacy Tech I - Encinitas
About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician joins the pharmacy team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, working collaboratively with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff. The role offers experience across inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication distribution, repackaging, and sterile and non-sterile compounding. The technician may train for tech-check-tech operations and cross-train in specialized roles such as medication history, buyer, medication safety, and systems analyst. This is a full-time, benefited position, scheduled for 80 hours per two-week pay period in 8-hour varied shifts, including every other weekend.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- California Board of Pharmacy Certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient experience or a hospital externship.
