About The Position
The Pharmacy Tech I practices the profession of pharmacy in an environment whose philosophy and policies promote patient care. This person provides friendly, remarkable customer service to support overall patient health. The role includes retrieving and stocking medications, entering customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system, creating prescription labels, adjudicating insurance claims, completing prescription and drug-order paperwork, and ordering prescription medications. The Pharmacy Tech I also promotes pharmacy initiatives and clinical services, prioritizes workload, communicates effectively, supports change, maintains a clean and orderly pharmacy, and protects the confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities
- Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory.
- Input customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
- Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
- Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
- Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
- Stock prescription medication.
- Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
- Prioritize workload.
- Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
- Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
