About The Position

The Corewell Health Pharmacy Team is integral to advancing the mission of improving health, instilling humanity, and inspiring hope. Leaders within this team guide multidisciplinary pharmacy teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical care across an integrated health system. They are responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and affordable care through strategic leadership, innovation, and operational excellence, ultimately improving outcomes for patients and communities. The pharmacy operations encompass a full continuum of care, including Medication History, Specialty Pharmacy, Infusion Pharmacy, Medication Therapy Management, and Medication Care Coordination, supporting thousands of patients navigating complex therapeutic journeys. Pharmacy leaders at Corewell Health are tasked with shaping practice standards, optimizing clinical and operational performance, and driving system-wide initiatives to elevate quality, safety, and access. This role influences care delivery that impacts millions of lives annually within a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. The position is based at Dearborn Hospital, which has been consistently ranked among Michigan’s Top 10 Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report since 1953. Dearborn Hospital serves as a leading teaching and research institution dedicated to advancing high-quality, patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy Required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience Required.
  • One year of relevant experience to include the skills, knowledge, abilities gained through related leadership experience or post graduate residency training (PGY2) Required.
  • MI Clinical Pharmacist license within 90 Days required.
  • MI Pharmacist Controlled Substance license within 90 Days required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accountability for the supervision and operation of a specific area of expertise.
  • Promotes team efforts to manage and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Coordinates process improvement activities.
  • Resolves human capital issues.
  • Assists with program development in area of accountability.
  • Works with multiple medication automation systems.
  • Ensures department and personnel compliance with current regulations.
