More about our team Our 24-hour pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. How you’ll contribute A Pharmacy Tech Supervisor who excels in this role: Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels. Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints. Refills and maintains Automated Dispensing Cabinets. Provides education for use of Automated Dispensing Cabinets. Assists in all aspects of the purchasing function for the Pharmacy. This includes ordering products, processing invoices, inventory control, contract compliance, managing shortages and handling of returns. Additional requirements include: Minimum of 5 years of Pharmacy experience. Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, pharmacy technician associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Pharmacy experience.
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.
