Pharmacy Retail Associate (Cashier) Outpatient Pharmacy
About The Position
Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Sales Associate at Sentara Leigh Hospital! This is a Part Time position with approximately 25 hours per week, with shifts primarily from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, and the possibility of additional hours. The role involves preparing medications under the direction of a pharmacist, measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording medication dosages according to prescription orders. The associate will be responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support for safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- 1 year of retail experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
- Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
- Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.
