About The Position
The Pharmacy Quality and Safety Manager is responsible for coordinating operational and clinical pharmacy services to ensure that the pharmacy department provides safe and high-level quality services on a daily basis. The Pharmacy Manager facilitates the development, implementation and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies. This shall be carried out in accordance with and all federal and state laws, TJC standards and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy is required.
- Two years of hospital experience is required.
- Licensed as a Pharmacist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.
- The pharmacy manager must possess strong knowledge of Hospital Pharmacy Services
- strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards
