About The Position

We have a current opening for a Food Safety & Quality Manager and are actively reviewing applications. Supporting the Food Safety & Quality Production Manager, and the Head of Quality for the Plant in the development and implementation of new standards within the Franklin Park facility.

Requirements

B.Sc Degree in Food Science, Food technology preferred, or other related field
Minimum 2 years in a Quality Supervisor role within a food manufacturing environment
4 years of Food Quality and Safety Systems
Knowledge and experience in Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Techniques
Knowledge of raw materials, quality assurance and quality control.
Experience of GFSI standards (FSSC 22000, SQF, BRC) required, Quality Standard ISO9001 is a plus.
Ability to conduct presentations and training sessions
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
Strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment

Internal auditing experience is an asset

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to product and process quality standards using SAP and corporate systems
Oversee production line quality activities and guide operator execution
Manage quality documentation, procedures, and records
Monitor performance trends and communicate KPIs across levels
Support production on all quality-related matters
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GFSI/FSSC22000, and internal quality systems
Verify effectiveness of food safety plans and GMP adherence
Manage non-conformances, including product holds, RCA, and consumer complaints
Oversee final product release with team accountability
Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of quality results
Train employees on GMP, procedures, and quality requirements
Support operators in executing auto-control activities correctly
Lead team performance: scheduling, prioritization, and annual evaluations
Ensure team compliance with procedures and continuous capability development
