About The Position

Join Walmart’s community pharmacy team as a paid Pre-Grad Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting patient care and pharmacy operations. The role focuses on helping customers improve their health and wellness, advocating for patient wellbeing, and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The position is located at 5054 State Highway 23, Oneonta, NY 13820-3506.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Address individual patient needs.
Follow HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) guidelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
