About The Position

Join Walmart’s community pharmacy team as a paid Pre-Grad Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting patient care and pharmacy operations. The role focuses on customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern helps improve customer health and wellness, advocates for patient wellbeing, and contributes to the pharmacy team’s goals. The position is based at 3137 S Seneca St, Wichita, Kansas.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have the ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to address individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Protect the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Support community activities, outreach, and events.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
