Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern - WM
About The Position
Join Walmart’s pharmacy team as a Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role supports patient care and wellness while helping the pharmacy team provide exceptional customer service and safely and efficiently deliver pharmacy products and services. The position is paid and contributes to the team’s goals and the company’s success. The work includes supporting prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, helping patients navigate clinical therapies, handling merchandise and supplies, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with company policies and applicable guidelines. The role also involves managing inventory and maintaining the pharmacy area. The minimum qualification is enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Excellent ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Ability to cater to individual patient needs.
- Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Responsibilities
- Protect confidential information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with Company policies and local, State, and Federal guidelines.
- Help process prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
- Deliver patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
