About The Position

The Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern gains hands-on experience supporting patient care and pharmacy operations in a community pharmacy setting. The role helps improve customer health and wellness by advocating for patient wellbeing and contributing to the pharmacy team's goals. Responsibilities include supporting exceptional customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The position is based at 2400 Morthland Dr, Valparaiso, Indiana.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Cater to individual patient needs.
Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
