Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern - WM
About The Position
The Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern joins Walmart’s community pharmacy team to gain hands-on experience supporting patient care and pharmacy operations. The role helps customers improve their health and wellness, supports safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services, and contributes to the pharmacy team’s goals. Responsibilities include protecting confidential information, helping process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, assisting patients with their needs and clinical therapies, receiving and stocking merchandise and supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining the pharmacy area.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
- Be proficient in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Be able to cater to individual patient needs.
- Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Responsibilities
- Protect the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
- Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
