About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Pre-Grad Intern to support its community pharmacy team and gain hands-on experience in patient care. The role contributes to customer health and wellness by helping provide safe, efficient pharmacy products and services, supporting prescription and over-the-counter orders, assisting patients with their needs, and maintaining pharmacy inventory and supplies. The position requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school. The hourly wage range is $21.50–$34.50, with additional annual or quarterly performance bonuses and possible Regional Pay Zone compensation.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Have the ability to build relationships with customers and pharmacy team members.
• Be able to address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Support patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
