About The Position

As a Pre-Grad Intern on Walmart’s pharmacy team, you will gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy while supporting patient care and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The role involves helping customers with their health and wellness needs and contributing to the pharmacy team’s goals.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) guidelines.

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Support patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
