About The Position

Join Walmart’s community pharmacy team as a paid Pre-Grad Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting patient care and pharmacy operations. The role focuses on customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. Interns help improve customer health and wellness, support patient wellbeing, and contribute to the pharmacy team’s goals. The stated minimum qualification is enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school. A Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification is listed as a preferred qualification.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Ability to address individual patient needs.
• Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
