About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator. The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator maintains the inventory of drugs and delegates the medical/surgical supplies for the Hospital pharmacy areas. This position is accountable for managing the day to day activities of the pharmacy staff that are involved with ordering drugs and delegation of medical/surgical supplies. This position, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will participate in all activities of the pharmacy department that involve the inventory management of drugs. The position functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. This position is responsible for all medications being purchased on the correct account when the order is split to WAC, GPO and 340B. Additionally, this position is responsible for setting PAR levels of all medications within the department, working with the Pyxis Analyst and Assistant Director of Pharmacy to do so. All registrations and licenses required for this position must be kept current at all times/ renewed prior to expiration.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • West Virginia Technician Registration required
  • CPhT (National Technician Certification) required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of position-related experience preferred
  • Progressive healthcare experience in an acute care setting
  • Responsibility for purchasing medications and managing inventory in a 340B eligible entity is preferred

Responsibilities
