About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role helps improve customer health and wellness, advocates for patient well-being, and supports the pharmacy team’s focus on customer care, clinical care, safety, and compliance with legal and company policies. The position requires enrollment in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Be capable of catering to individual patient needs.
Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
