About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role focuses on customer care, patient well-being, clinical care, and compliance with legal and company policies. The intern helps process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, provides patient care, receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, and helps manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area. The position requires enrollment in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to cater to individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
