About The Position

As a Pharmacy Grad Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy while supporting customers’ health and well-being. You will help improve customer health and wellness and advocate for patient well-being. Walmart’s pharmacy team focuses on customer care and safety, providing clinical care and complying with legal and company policies. The role supports pharmacy operations by assisting with prescription and over-the-counter orders, patient care, and inventory.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be capable of catering to individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
