Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or medical administration environment.
  • Experience that demonstrates: Prescription or medical order processing
  • Patient or customer service in a regulated setting
  • Accurate data entry and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a retail, specialty, or clinic pharmacy environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and third‑party billing platforms.
  • Exposure to insurance claims processing, prior authorizations, or reimbursement workflows.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy documentation standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily pharmacy operations, including prescription intake, order processing, and workflow tracking
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient profiles and prescription records in pharmacy systems
  • Support prescription billing activities, including third‑party insurance claims, copay processing, and coordination of benefits
  • Prepare and assist with medication dispensing under the direction of the Pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage pharmacy calendars, delivery schedules, and appointment coordination
  • Conduct outbound and inbound patient communications related to order status, documentation, or outstanding billing items (non-clinical)
  • Liaise with physicians, insurers, reimbursement teams, and internal partners to resolve coverage or documentation issues
  • Support pharmacy inventory activities, including stock ordering, tracking, reconciliation, and expiry monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, privacy standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Complete accurate documentation and data entry across multiple systems
  • Contribute to administrative and operational tasks to support overall pharmacy efficiency
