Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full-time contract opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Ottawa, ON. We're looking for dedicated professionals with at least 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant looking for Monday - Friday day shifts only (no nights, no weekends), and who is ready for an exciting challenge working with an extremely unique and rewarding patient population! Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant will assist in providing pharmacy services such as: compounding, packaging and labeling pharmaceutical products, maintaining prescription records, and conducting inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products.

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years of Pharmacy Assistant experience within the last five (5) years providing direct patient care
Working in one or more clinical settings, such as a hospital or community setting
Current certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
Ability to provide care in both French and English

Nice To Haves

Diploma in a Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician program from a post-secondary school is a strong asset
Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
