About The Position
AvaMed Workforce is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist for an assignment at a correctional facility in Corcoran, CA. This role involves providing pharmacy services under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge or the Institution's Chief Executive Officer/Chief Medical Executive designee. The assignment is for 6 months, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and includes two weeks of orientation/training. The rate is $65/hr ($2,600/week).
Requirements
- Must obtain a Pharmacist License in the State of California from the Board of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescription/medication order(s) from the Pharmacist-in-Charge, or other authorized prescribers for completeness, correctness, authenticity and legality.
- Assess prescription/medication order(s) against patient's/youth's medical profile for improper drug selection, under-dosage, dosage, over-dosage, drug interactions, dosage form and delivery system.
