About The Position
AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. At the moment we are in URGENT need of a Pharmacist to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in Coalinga, CA. The Temporary/Relief PHARM shall provide services as permitted within the scope of practice, under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge and/or the Institution’s Chief Executive Officer/Chief Medical Executive designee.
Requirements
- Must obtain a Pharmacist License in the State of California from the Board of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescription/medication order(s) from the Pharmacist-in-Charge, or other authorized prescribers for completeness, correctness, authenticity and legality
- Assess prescription/medication order(s) against patient's/youth's medical profile for improper drug selection, under-dosage, dosage, over-dosage, drug interactions, dosage form and delivery system
