About The Position
AvaMed Workforce is seeking an urgent, Full-Time Pharmacist for a 6-month assignment at a correctional facility in Corcoran, CA. The role involves providing pharmacy services under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge or Chief Medical Executive designee, within the scope of practice. This includes reviewing and verifying prescription/medication orders for accuracy and completeness, and assessing orders against patient medical profiles for potential issues like drug interactions or incorrect dosages.
Requirements
- Must obtain a Pharmacist License in the State of California from the Board of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescription/medication order(s) from the Pharmacist-in-Charge, or other authorized prescribers for completeness, correctness, authenticity and legality
- Assess prescription/medication order(s) against patient's/youth's medical profile for improper drug selection, under-dosage, dosage, over-dosage, drug interactions, dosage form and delivery system
