About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring an Emergency Department Pharmacist for its Pharmacy at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time evening-shift position working a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule from 13:00 to 23:30. The pharmacist will enter medication orders accurately, check technician work before medications and solutions are released to the floor, supervise technicians, serve on assigned committees, answer questions from health care professionals, consult with medical staff, and monitor patient therapy, including pharmacokinetics services.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist with the Department of Health (DOH).
• Bachelor of Science degree.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders with great accuracy.
• Check technician work for accuracy before releasing medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervise technicians.
• Serve on committees as assigned.
• Answer questions for health care professionals.
• Serve as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitor patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service.
