About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is hiring an Emergency Department Pharmacist for its Pharmacy at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time evening-shift position on a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, with hours from 13:00 to 23:30. The pharmacist will support medication services for the Emergency Department and work with technicians, healthcare professionals, and medical staff.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist credential from the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacist license from the Department of Health (DOH).
• Bachelor of Science degree.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders with great accuracy.
• Check technician work for accuracy before medications and solutions are released to the floor.
• Supervise technicians and serve on committees as assigned.
• Answer questions from healthcare professionals.
• Serve as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitor patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service.
