About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Pharmacist provides compassionate care and clinical support in the hospital pharmacy, with working knowledge of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture. This is a per diem/PRN position at 96 Parkway, Rochelle Park, NJ 07662, paying $62.00 per hour.

The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and the possibility of advancement to full-time opportunities. Part-time and per diem employees may qualify for 401(k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• Successfully complete all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
• Hold a current state license.
• Hold BLS certification if required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• PharmD, or a BS in Pharmacy plus an advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies in the pharmacy.
• Inform and instruct patients correctly about medications to use after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
