About The Position

The Pharmacist Resident will complete all residency program competency areas, educational goals, and objectives as defined by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. This role involves active participation in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the development and completion of a major performance improvement or research project under the direction of a designated preceptor. The resident will also complete all required and elective rotations and assigned projects, and demonstrate competency in managing weekend and evening shifts, including on-call, clinical, and distributive responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Licensed (within 3 months of hire) and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required within 3 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training/licensure required within 4 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Annual memberships in the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists are strongly encouraged.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining during orientation is encouraged.
