Baptist Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Pharmacist for its Pharmacy at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time position with an evening shift, operating on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule. The working hours are from 13:00 to 23:30. The ED Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately entering orders, verifying technician work before medication release, supervising technicians, serving on committees, answering healthcare professional inquiries, consulting with medical staff, and monitoring patient therapy, including pharmacokinetics.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
- Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required
- Bachelor of Science Required
Responsibilities
- Enters orders with great accuracy.
- Checks technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
- Supervises technicians and serves on committees as assigned.
- Answers questions for all health care professionals.
- Serves as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
- Monitors patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service.
