About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This is a PRN variable evening shift opportunity. The Emergency Department at Baptist Beaches provides convenient, high-quality care to coastal communities. This role is ideal for nurses who value teamwork and delivering excellent patient-centered care. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience (required)
  • Telemetry Experience (required)
  • Hospital Experience (required)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
  • Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Department Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, NIHSS (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of medical, surgical, or emergent conditions
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis and plan of care
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Serve as a patient advocate to ensure safety and satisfaction
  • Participate in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives
