About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join their Central Operations team at Baptist Medical Center South. This role involves working in the central pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite with various shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately entering orders, checking technician work, dispensing medications, supervising technicians, consulting with medical staff on medication and regimens, and monitoring patient therapy. This position offers hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and the opportunity to gain clinical experience.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
• Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required
• Bachelor of Science Required
• A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.

Nice To Haves

• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred
• PGY1 Residency is preferred

Responsibilities

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
