This Full-Time days opportunity is for a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist South. The role involves understanding sterilization principles, proper wrapping of instruments/linen, prioritizing duties, knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes, and the ability to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays. Requirements

1-2 years Instrument Experience
1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
Linen Processing Experience
Knowledge of regulatory protocols.
High School Diploma
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required OR Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required

Responsibilities

Understand principles of sterilization.
Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
Able to prioritize duties.
Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform.
Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
