About The Position

This role involves ensuring safe and accurate medication management in specialized areas such as nuclear medicine, oncology, and cardiology. The pharmacist will review, compound, and dispense orders, acting as a subject matter expert and guiding clinical leadership across pharmacy sites. Key responsibilities include assessing medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems, recommending formulary alternatives, and collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to optimize patient care. The role also requires supervising and supporting technical personnel in medication preparation, maintenance, and dispensing, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Additionally, the pharmacist will provide drug information, patient counseling, and education to medical staff and patients, support academic initiatives as a preceptor, and provide operational coverage across pharmacy areas as needed.

Requirements

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
