About The Position

Our 24-hour pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Current state Pharmacy license
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Hospital training during two years of Radiologic Technologist program.
Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices highly desired.
Must be a member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and maintain registry once received.
Desirable to belong to national, state and/or local societies.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
