About The Position

SDS-Rx is seeking multiple route drivers for pharmaceutical and equipment deliveries in Northern Alabama, with weekday routes launching at 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. Routes typically take 6–7 hours and cover about 140 miles round trip. The company is also seeking a dedicated on-demand/stat driver who can serve as a backup route driver and is available on Saturdays for on-demand/stat work. Drivers contract with SDS-Rx, use their own vehicle and smartphone, and deliver packages rather than transporting people. Totes and bags are generally under 20 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years.
• No more than 3 combined at-fault accidents and/or moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Must own a vehicle; this route requires a 2011 or newer sedan, SUV, or minivan.
• Must carry current vehicle insurance and meet the minimum $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury coverage requirement.
• Must be available for the assigned weekday route launch time; the dedicated on-demand/stat driver must be available on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Follow delivery routes and time schedules for accepted routes and jobs.
• Deliver a variety of pharmaceuticals and equipment.
• Use a personal vehicle to complete accepted delivery jobs.
• Load and unload totes and bags, generally under 20 pounds.
• Handle delivery paperwork as instructed.
• Use a personal smartphone to enter delivery information.
