About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Huntsville, Alabama. The driver delivers food products to customers such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities, while building customer relationships. The role involves local routes and day-shift work, with drivers returning home every day. Drivers unload cases weighing up to 100 pounds and use a ramp and two-wheeler during their shifts. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. and work continuing until the route is finished. Drivers average $62,000–$90,000 per year, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,200 per week. Compensation includes daily base pay and component pay for each mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. Benefits begin on the first day, and the company offers a 4% 401(k) match and profit sharing.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a Class A CDL license.
Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
Successfully pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, and a background check.
Have a clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
