About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Huntsville, Alabama. The driver delivers food products to customers such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities, while building customer relationships. This is a local-route position with day shifts, and drivers return home every day. The work involves unloading cases weighing up to 100 pounds and using a ramp and two-wheeler during the shift. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 3 AM and 5 AM and work continuing until the route is finished. Drivers average $62,000–$90,000 per year, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,200 per week. Compensation includes daily base pay and component pay for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered. Benefits plans are available starting on the first day of employment.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Hold a Class A CDL license.
Be able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
Successfully pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, and a background check.
Have a clean driving record meeting DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.
