About The Position

A Petroleum Transport Dispatcher for Jernigan Oil Transport, Inc. helps coordinate, develop, and execute daily fuel delivery schedules, while collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure customer needs are satisfied, with strong focus on inventory management and fuel supply execution. The purpose of this job description is to give an overview of what is expected of a Petroleum Transport Dispatcher at Jernigan Oil Transport, Inc. The following list is not all-inclusive. Requirements

Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to research and resolve issues independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

Participate in a rotating schedule to support Senior Petroleum Transport Dispatchers, Transport Delivery Drivers, and other Petroleum Transport Dispatchers by responding to calls, text messages, and dispatch system communications to ensure timely and accurate fuel deliveries.
Monitor incoming phone calls, messages, and emails to assist customers with placing fuel orders and ensure successful execution of all deliveries.
Track and manage customer fuel inventory levels using the Halo dispatch and inventory system, ensuring orders are placed proactively to prevent service interruptions.
Coordinate delivery schedules and routes to maximize efficiency and ensure on-time fuel deliveries.
Communicate proactively with drivers and customers regarding delivery updates, delays, or changes.
Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and customer communications within the dispatch system.
Identify and escalate urgent delivery issues, shortages, or service disruptions to management as needed.
Assist in resolving customer concerns or discrepancies related to deliveries, billing, or inventory levels.
Verify order details such as fuel type, quantity, and delivery location to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline dispatch and delivery processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations related to fuel transport and delivery.
