About The Position

The Pet Groomer delivers full-service dog grooming in a safe, welcoming salon. The role includes bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling dogs, following breed standards or tailoring grooming to pet parents’ requests. Groomers provide attentive, neighborly service, help pets look and feel their best, and build lasting relationships with pet owners. They also maintain a clean and organized salon, support store events and team members, and continue developing their grooming skills.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional pet grooming, dog grooming, or pet stylist experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with breed-standard cuts, hand scissoring, clipping, and finishing techniques.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and safe handling practices.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle pets or equipment weighing up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to provide your own grooming tools and equipment, such as clippers, blades, and shears.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to meet hiring requirements set by the local franchise owner.

• Continue developing grooming techniques and skills.
