About The Position

The Pet Groomer provides full-service dog grooming in a safe, welcoming salon. The role includes bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling dogs to breed standards or to meet each pet parent’s requests. The groomer helps pets look and feel their best while delivering friendly customer service and building relationships with pet parents and repeat clients. The position also supports a clean, safe, and organized salon, store events, and other team members during grooming downtime, while continuing to develop grooming skills.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional pet grooming, dog grooming, or pet stylist experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with breed-standard cuts, hand scissoring, clipping, and finishing techniques.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and safe handling practices.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle pets or equipment weighing up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to provide personal grooming tools and equipment, such as clippers, blades, and shears.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to meet hiring requirements set by the local franchise owner.
