PET/CT Technologist, CT Department, Part-Time, Baptist South
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a part-time PET/CT Technologist for its CT Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a days position scheduled Friday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The technologist provides patients with radioactive medication and operates imaging technology to track radiation within the body. Duties also include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for scans, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease. The position is based at Baptist South, South - Main Building, 14550 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258. Eligible hires may receive up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Experience working in a hospital setting.
- Customer service experience.
- Radioactive material experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
- Vocational school education.
- Hold one of the following: Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT)-NMTCB; Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist–ARRT; or Registered Radiologic Technologist–ARRT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)-AHA certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic procedures.
- Follow Florida rules and regulations regarding radiation control and radioactive materials.
- Protect patients, oneself, and others from unnecessary or excessive radiation exposure.
- Comply with mandatory education and health requirements.
- Provide patients with radioactive medication and operate imaging technology to track radiation within the body.
- Sterilize syringes and prepare patients for scans.
- Process image reports that indicate the presence of disease.
