About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join the CT Scan Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This full-time evening position works Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The technologist delivers high-quality imaging services while supporting patient comfort and safety in a collaborative environment. Duties include operating and calibrating GE equipment, preparing and positioning patients, administering IV contrast, explaining procedures to patients, and complying with regulatory standards. Employees hired for this position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.
Requirements
- Vocational school education or an associate degree.
- Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R)) certification is required.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Must pass ARRT certification in Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of radiology experience.
- Experience working in a hospital setting.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort during exams.
- Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
- Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Educate patients about the CT process and answer their questions.
- Administer IV contrast and calibrate GE equipment.
