Pet Care Specialist for Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Company
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is seeking an experienced Pet Care Professional for Pet Sitting and Dog Walking roles. This position is ideal for individuals who love dogs and/or cats, enjoy being outdoors and active, and have a passion for animals. The role requires reliability, independence, good communication skills, and a desire for a flexible schedule. You will be responsible for visiting clients' homes to care for their pets, including walking, exercising, feeding, medicating, and providing general attention. You will also be responsible for leaving notes for clients after each visit to update them on their pet's care.
Requirements
- Love dogs and/or cats
- Enjoy the outdoors and being active
- Experienced with dogs of various sizes and energy levels AND/OR experienced with cats/other small animals
- Reliable transportation
- Own a smart phone
- Ability to work well independently
- Good communication skills/customer service skills
- Desire a flexible schedule
- Love to learn
- Seeking part time work or supplemental income
- At least 1-2hrs of availability during at least 2 of our 4 visit time windows (Morning & Afternoons OR Morning & Evenings OR Evenings & Nights)
- Ideal candidates can work Monday through Friday OR Sat & Sun plus or minus some weekdays
- Ability to work within a 10-15 minute travel radius around where they live
- Can select service areas / zip codes
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working / volunteering with animals (dogs / cats, etc.)
- Passion for working with and helping animals
- Vet techs, dog trainers, pre-vet students, dog groomers, animal rescue workers and animal care techs are all encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Visit client’s homes to care for their companions while they are at work or on vacation
- Walking and exercising dogs
- Letting dogs out for bathroom breaks
- Providing love & attention to pets
- Feeding pets
- Administering medication
- Providing fresh water
- Cleaning up after animals, including litter boxes
- Leave a note for clients after each visit detailing how the visits went
